View Full Version : Primary Hiv Rash

I read allot of posts in regard to the rash you can get when first infected with the hiv virus and got conflicting reports. 2 weeks after insertive oral sex, I got a touch of what I thought was a bad cold or mild flu, fever of 100, some aches and pains, stuffy nose, and a slight headache, and no rash all this was gone in a few days. About 2 weeks after the cold/flu left, I broke out with what looked like pimples clusted in several spots on my back. I have been spending allot of time in bed (on my back) due to back strain. I was wondering could these be symptoms of primary hiv, or some sort of dermititis from laying on my back, I have no fever or any of the other symptoms associated with primary hiv, the pimples/rashes which hardly itched lasted for about 3 weeks and are almost all cleared up without treatment. Also what is the rash like with primary hiv. The fact that it was 1 time insertive oral sex should I be worried enough to get tested, I was alway under the conclusion from past readings that insertive oral sex was a near zero risk, although I found many views on that since than. Thanks.

Its impossible to get rash after 2 weeks, only if your immune system is down and you dont get rash because of HIV at all, its all due to other fungus, etc...

But anyways, no you cant get HIV , your risk is none.

I get rash all the time. Human Herpes 6 can cause rash.

Flu can occur for lot of reason, fater my intercourse I got sick at next day, than 3 weeks later, than at 6 weeks later, than at 3 months later and than at 6 months later and now I dont. So developed my all antibodies.

Anyways from Aug 2003 to Aug 2004, I got really sever flu 9 times. Antibodies where forming, but yet non detected by elisa.

Hiv negative at 3, 6, & 1 year positive using elisa, but WB negative.

the risk associated with inserive oral sex ( unless you were performing oral on a man ) is only theoretical. There havent ever even been any documented cases...ever. don't worry.
