I just switched from depo (5 years use) to the pill. I completed my first 3 weeks of pills. I was told it may take me a few months before I start having a regular period.

However, I started a very very light period on Friday night (I started the sugar pills the Sunday before). I am still experiencing some brown discharge but I went ahead and started the new pills as scheduled.

Is this ok? In the three weeks in between depo and pills, I had one day of brown discharge, so I'm assuming my body is just needing time to adjust?

Also, when I was on depo, I was never worried about pregnancy b/c I wasn't producing anything. Now I'm pretty nervous about the chances of pregnancy even with the pill and using a condom. Are there certain days I should avoid sex just to make sure?

Yes just keeping taking one pill every day even if you are still bleeding. That is normal, especially when first starting.

I agree, keep taking the pills that is totally normal when first starting the pills. After you finish your first pack you will be totally protected to have sex any day or time you want without worrying.
