This is my fourth month on yasmin and I missed a pill on Thursday and took two on Friday and have been spotting since Sunday(today being Wednesday). The spotting is dark brown though, not pink or red at all...I called a nurse at my doctors office but failed to mention the color b/c I didn't realize it was a possible issue until I started looking up brown spotting on the internet and found it is often a very early sign of pregnancy. My nurse said not to bother taking a pregnancy test unless I miss my period next week, but being the stress case that I am, I was hoping someone could ease my mind by letting me know they have the dark brown spotting as well. Thanks!
PS....I also skipped one pill last month and took two the next day with no issues at all...

Could just be from double dosing, sometimes this happens. I wouldn't worry too much yet about about the brown discharge. However, if your period doesn't come or it is late...definetly take a test. Take care!

I get dark brown spotting frequently; it's nothing to worry about. Though I now use NuvaRing, when I was on oral contraceptives, I would start to spot if I was even a few hours late taking the pill. When I did miss a pill, the spotting was usually brown and icky! So, don't worry. I'm sure you'll be fine. Mine always stopped within a few days.
