Hey girls-- I was just wondering if any of you rely soley on condoms and do not use any type of hormonal birth control. I've been taking the pill for almost 5 years, but my sex life is totally dead. This wasn't a problem at first as I wasn't sexually active until I married just over a year ago. My husband says that he'd be willing to use condoms if I would try not taking the pill for a few months and see if my libido returns.

It just seems silly to keep taking the pill when I don't want to have sex, anyway. But, then again, I do enjoy the other benefits of the pill.

Just wanted your input...

In the past I used fertility awareness without condoms. My sex drive was SO much higher than it is now that I'm on the pill. Of course, its highest at ovulation, which was kind of a pain sometimes since we chose to abstain. But all month long it was higher. I've started and stopped the pill several times, and my sex drive has always come back within a couple weeks.

I have gotten off the pill due to the lack of sex drive/desire. And Its been 2 mths and slowly the desire is coming back its not what it used to be but its gettting better! I rely totally on condoms right now and I havn't had any problems. You might as well give it a try and in a couple months if its still the same you can take pills to raise your sex drive! Good Luck

I took the pill from age 15-28. I've been off of it for 2 years and I love it! My sex drive has risen dramitcally and I no longer have migranes. BUT I'm still not wanting children yet and I haven't found a good nonhormal replacement. As much as I don't want to go back on the pill I might until I'm okay with getting prego. Bottomline..if you guys are on a nonhormonal BC and like it Please Share.
