I had been having a lot of yeast infections, so I quit using tampons for a few months. During that time I didn't have a yest infection, but last month I went back to using tampons now I have a yest infection. Do you think this is a conincidence or is there some connection here? Anyone ever heard of this connection?

I used to get bacterial vaginitis when using tampons. My doctor said that I may have been bringing bacteria that was on the outside of my vagina into the inside with the tamponcausing the infection. I am not sure about yeast infections, I know if you have a yeast infection you arent suppose to use tampons especially if using medications cause this will absorb them. You may want to talk to your doctor about this, he or she may be able to help you more.

Have you tried NOT using the scented type? THis has helped me lots. You may be allergic to the stuff put in to make the pleasant scent. Try it!!!
