First post so bear with me. I suffer a lot with migraines, always have since I was a child and am now 35. I have had meningitis when I was 18 and they intensified from then. Five weeks ago, I had a massive migraine and this left me flat for four days. The severity of the pain had gone, however, I started with a massive burning sensation on my right temple and around that area. The whole area has been extremely sensitive. This then began giving me blinding headaches. One second I would be doing something, the next I would be keeled over as if someone had put a sharp white hot poker into my head. Then as quick as it came, it would go. The burning has now gone over to both temples, down my cheek bones. I also have a permenant bad headache over the top of my head, moreso it gets worse on the right side above and to the right of the temple. Further to this, I still have the permenant nagging dull ache that one would associate with tension in the back of my skull that is constantly pounding.
I have taken a mass of drugs from the gp and nothing has cleared the burning or the pain. I dont have sinusitis nor temporal arteritis which have been confirmed. I have a appt with a neurologist next Thursday - wondering what he may say. Where I work are not best pleased I believe due to the amount of time off I am having at the moment but appreciate the pain is severe enough to have me sleep up to 15 hours a day if not more when its bad.
Anyone any ideas what it may be?
Best wishes

going to bed with more pain killers and heat pad - again
