View Full Version : What is this hard thing in my butt?

Sorry for the blunt subject! I have been constipated for some time and I use suppositories when needed. My husband inserts them for me and he's been feeling this hard thing up in my butt off to the left side. I asked him to describe what it's like and he said hard and bumpy like cauliflower is.

Does anyone know what this growth could be? Is this what hemorrhoids are like or polyps? Can polyps be this low where your inserted finger can feel it? I have also been having pain in there after my bowel movements and I still have the right sided pain that's been going on forever. I'm going to schedule my barium enema since that's what the gi dr. ordered but he never knew about this hard thing since he didn't do a finger test in his office at my last appt.

If anyone has any information, I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
