due to moodiness, i switched from orth tricyclen to yasmin. now, i find i have no sex drive. doctor recommended ovcon or estrostep. after doing research on{removed} , i am more confused than ever. i heard that estrostep causes facial hair and many people gained weight from estrostep. that is one side effect that i never had with either of the 2 pills i have been on. i realize everyone has a different reaction, maybe i am better off not reading about them...lol
dr. first recommended estrostep, but then i asked for a pill where the harmone levels are all the same, like yasmin, unlike ortho, and dr. suggested ovcon. as you can see, i am confused. any input would be appreciated.
thanks!

I started taking birth control (Estrostep FE) for the 1st time in September. So far I like it. I may have gained a pound or two but nothing to be freaked about! So far no facial hair, and my skin (acne/break-outs) have totally cleared up. I don't even get small break outs when it's time for my peroid. I do experience quite a bit of nausea when I begin a new pack of pills (hormone pills). I also got headaches, but as you can read that happens with almost any pill you take. And be ware, I had quite a bit of spotting the first month or so that I was taking the pill & almost freaked out that I would be spotting when I got married (Oct 16) but I wasn't. My husband & I went on our honeymoon (for 2 weeks) & I didn't have a problem what-so-ever. I guess you just have to give your body a chance to adjust to the pill. I am doing fine now! I started my new pack last night (this is my 4th month), so I believe I'm in the clear in regards to some of the side effects. Hope this helps you out - Good Luck! :)

Go on Ovcon. Estrostep makes you hungry and fatigued
