Do glands usually stay swollen or get swollen off and on during early HIV infection? It's been over 4 months since a possible exposure, and both my armpit and groin glands are swollen..without any signs of illness.

There are no strict timeframes about how long symptoms will last for or how long after exposure they present themselves. This is because everyone's body is different.

The only way you will know for sure is to get tested and if it has already been 4 months since your last exposure the test results will be accurate.

The same thing happened to me. They swollen glands only lasted like a few days though. The thing with me is at that time I had STDs - chlamydia and genital warts. I'm hoping that was the cause of the swollen glands. Like you, I experienced no other symptoms. It's been almost a year now since that happened, and I recently got another swollen gland on my armpit. Anyways, Im still waiting to get tested. Tell me about yours. How long did they last? Are they coming off and on? How often? Anything would be good. I dotn know about u...but Im reallyyyy stressed about this HIV thing.
