Hi gang, I am taking a course of oral prednisone to get my vision back in one eye.

I also now have the flu. Will the prednisone suppress immune responses and make the illness last longer, or more heavily?

Thanks. :dizzy:

I hope you start feeling better. I don't know much about Prednisone, but I know a lot about the flu...remember to drink lots of fluids. Get better soon.

Hi Wayne,
Yes, prednisone can weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to infections. So I guess it could make it tougher to kick something you've already got.

Hope you feel better soon.
Julie
