Help...I am a mess. I have been having really bad headaches on and off for about five months now. I am not sure what kind of headaches they are. I have looked up some stuff on the net and I am still confused. It feels like a combination of intense pressure and pounding pain. Everything is too loud and after a while I get pretty nauseous. Some days I just have a low level pressure feeling that wears on me. I can handle that okay, but other days that builds into the worst headache I have ever felt. I don't have a history of headaches, or allergies. I went to the doctor and had a MRI and a blood test (for inflamation and thyroid) and they turned out fine. I have been back a couple times and just end up getting samples of meds, that don't work any better than Tylenol or Advil. I am getting frustrated because I end up taking something almost everyday. I got to sleep with a headache and wake with a headache. I don't mean to complain, because I know many of you have suffered from migrains for years. I just don't really know what to do. Does anyone have any alternative ideas instead of prescription pills, or any suggestions in general? Thanks

Try a headache diary for next two weeks maybe that will help then find a good Dr that will listen and try to find out what is causing them. Headaches are usually caused by something. Its good they checked your thyroid and did the MRI but they can be cause by food allergys ect.... No one should have a headache for 5 months. Read up on rebound headaches these are more common than you would think.
