Hi Hry,
This is my first post here.
I've been reading post's and trying to find out some info about hemroidectomies.<sp?
I have had some problems with the piles and so forth and like others here am reluctant to have surgery.
Just recently I went to a pain specialist to see if she could help me with the lower back pain i have been experiancing.
I have had this pain for a long time accompanied with the piles problem.
Bleeding, and in and out roids, bouts of diaria, just the miserable combo of the lower body parts acheing.

My point is, that I'm trying to avoid any surgery what- soever.
So, after a few visits to the pain specialist who did send me to therapy and perscribe alot of pills that I will not take - I dont even get them filled.
Anyway,I went to this last visit with her b/c nothing was working for my pain.
I dont take any meds I only try natural methods.
Once in a while I'll take an advil but,I have rectal bleeding and I've been informed that NSAIDS cause the blood to thin which in turn could cause more bleeding.

Here is the unbelievable good news!
I informed this Dr. that I thought my pain was being caused by preassure on my colon.
Long discussion with her I`ll shorten.
She refered me to a General Surgeon, same day.
I went to his office and we had a brief consultation.
He said that he had a procedure that was not very painful, and not to uncomfortable.
So, he sent me back to this room with a nurse and she said undress waist down,ya know like 'down under'lil pun http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gifha! I put on the paper with a slit in the back and started to sit on this wierd table, and the nurse spoke,no no not that way,we are opposite here.
So I turn over and the nurse raised me back side up and the Dr. came in and proceeded.
He told me he was doing an infa red laser type proceedure.
It burned a little, but was not that bad,and well, considering the pain I had been dealing with prior this
was not much in comparison.

Let me tell you that I love this surgeon*
This Dr. saved me.
You would not believe how much of an improvement my life is.
I think he lasered the inside roids and the pressure on my colon is gone, and the pain, gone.

It took one week, and the bleeding is gone also.

Have you herd of the Laser surgery, and if so, with such success as in my case?
Iam still rather amazed.
Kind Reguards,
Thnx for resp in advance,
Z22

Zigg22,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have trying to find out where and what type of laser could be used. I am so happy that you posted as I am tired of the hemorrhoid issue and nothing has worked so far.

Do you happen to know a doctor in the NYC or NJ area that could help me?

Thanks again, how are you doing with this now

yodiggity and Zigg22, The procedure Zigg22 had is probably
called infrared Coagulation, it basically burns/wield shut the vessel going into the hemorroid. I've had this same procedure and it worked wonderfully on my internal hemorroids, too bad another one flared up last week for me and the hospital is taking too long. I'm going to try
avatrol this time and see if it works.
Would recommend it instead of actual suguery.
