Hi there,
I can recommend an old chinese remedy for acid reflux........ginger juice.....
you can make it with a juicer 1/4 tsp every day. Its hot stuff, so you can drink in in hot water........Here are some alternatives:
Ginger tea
Ginger ale
Ginger cookies
Purchase fresh juiced ginger from health food store,
you can store it in the frig for up to 3 months.

First and formost, you really need to take a look at your diet. I found that it was the food I was eating that gave me the worst acid reflux.
Good luck
Barb

PS, :D
Regarding your arthritis, that can be another diet issue. Many people who eliminate sugar , white flour, whole wheat, and processed foods, eliminate arthritis pain. Just a suggestion :)

For the arthritis you can try Glucosamine. Give it a couple of months. If it's going to help it should by then.

Antacids reduce acid, but then you can't digest food properly. Use a good enzyme product before each meal, religiously. You will probably find the joint pain goes away. Undigested food rots and can cause inflammation.

Hi sewdeb & others, whenyou say eat a good enzyme food b4 meals, do you mean like yogurt ? I have always been thin , and never took any notice of food groups or diets as such, may start now tho as my waist is thickening, ( thats a nice way to say whacking on weight ! ) an age thing no doubt !
