Hi, Im 34 and have been noticing a lot more hair loss over the last few years. Its gotten especially bad in the last 6 months. Ive just lately noticed its starting to look pretty bad in front. Im not trying to fight it with a comb forward and am just keeping it somewhat short. Im getting depressed about it though. Some people look ok with a receding hairline or baldness. I unfortunately do not. I have a rounder forehead and its just looks bad. Its actually gotten to the point that the anxiety and depression over it is keeping me up at night and making me not want to go out or do anything. Im using Rogaine, but not seeing results. Im also not using it regularily enough and Im not sure why. I just dont feel like putting it on sometimes. Anyways, Im wondering if anyone else went through the depression, anxiety and stress that I am when losing thier hair.

Im also single which doesnt help. Im a pretty good looking guy and workout a lot so I have a decent body, but the hair loss is making me feel worse and in my opinion, look worse. Ive got this anxious feeling that I need to find someone quick before my hair goes further or no one will like me. I know... theres women who dont care, but this is just how i feel.

Let me know if anyone can relate or has suggestions. Thanks.

Hi PS!!! I just wanted to tell you a woman is not going to love you more if you have a full head of hair. Your hair doesn't make your personality or your soul. She will love you threw thick thinning or bald..:)

There are alot of very handsome guys out there who are very sexy who are going bald or are already bald..Please do not set yourself up like you are doing.. There are alot worse things that could happen then going bald..We as humans are our own worst critics..I bet you look great..:)
Try to cheer up

PS123, first thing you have to do is confront your problem. Tons of guys are going bald so you're not alone. Also remember that you're in your thirties and there a lot of guys out there much younger than dealing with the same thing so imagine how depressed they must feel. you're doing a good thing by keeping your hair short, it definatelty helps with appearence. also take some time out one day and research the internet on all the various treatments available. I believe Propecia/Proscar, Rogaine/Minox and Revivogen are the best options out there.

Also remember that when you start a treatment you have to stick with it. Take Rogaine for instance. Rogaine must be applied twice daily ever day for the rest of your life. If you stop taking Rogaine, all of your gains will be lost in a matter of weeks. You can't exepct something to work if you don't use it properly. I understand that Rogaine can be a big hassle which is why you may want to go another route other than a topical. Well take some time out one day and research those and other products and see which one best fits you. Good luck to you.

I am very very depressed about mine also. The only difference is mine started when I was 14. Feel lucky you had least had it during your youth.

Keeping your over all hair real short gives a better look for balding men. You know why those men on that commercial "hair club for men" look so bad? Because they make them look that way. They are bald, but grow the sides out real long (too long). So they look like a charactor from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Just trim, or shave the sides to a military-like look. Then everyone thinks you "want" that look. Or, that you're a cop, sports figure or just plain sexy. I prefer the military-shave look as to the totally skin look. But some, like CNN's James Carvell like the skin look. It must work. He's an ultra liberal that hook a untra right wing republican for his mate. ;)

Hello Ps,
Hmmm... I guess you'll just have to patient and wait for the product to work. Give yourself say at least half a year, and just keep your fingers crossed in the meantime. I'm sure there are many ladies out there who would overlook the issue of your hair loss =) My sis is trying out this thing called the hairmax lasercomb, you can check it out, i'm not sure if it works for her, but it seems to have a little effect on my dad who has lost his hair donkey years ago. Hope this helps.
