I just had my first routine colonoscopy and am having 5-6 loose bm's per day....and aches and pains all thru my abdomen....that sometimes radiates into my rear and upper leg area. The pain seems to be located on the right side way down by my pubic bone. The aces are just scattered around my lower tummy.
Help!!! This was routine and they found nothing wrong....thank god....but it has been six days now.

I had some simular problems. You need to take lots of probiotics. Go to your local health food store and get some. Those drugs you took to clean out your colon messed up your good bactirial balance.

It is usually routine protocol to have a follow-up exam with your gastroenterologist, a week to 2 weeks following a colonoscopy.
Even under the best of conditions, sometimes the physician performing the procedure can nick the colon by mistake and an infection can result.
If I were you, I would call my doctor's office, just to make them aware that you are having pain. They may want you to come in to be seen.
Take care.
