I have had an unknown disease for many years. No doctor seems to know what it is. The closest I have come to a diagnosis is my family physician telling me I may have a pinched nerve in my inner ear.

My ears have always "rang" aka tinnitus since I was about 14 or 15 years old.
It just came on without any apparent reason.
I also have these very weird spells were all of a sudden everything feels "faster". Is the only way I know how to explain it.
For example when I have these spells I can be walking at normal speed but feels like I am walking much faster.
I always have this sensation at the base of my skull on the right side of my head just like something isn't normal there. It feels unproportioned to the other side of my head, like the bone at the base of my skull on my right side feels "bigger" than the left side. If that makes any sense.
When I have these weird spells everthing I touch feels weird. Like I could be laying in bed and the pillow feels like a rock and my arms and hands have a weird tingling feel to them and they sort of feel heavy.

Does these spells and the tinnitus go together or are they two completely different things.
When I tried to explain these spells to my doc several years ago the best he could tell me is it may be a pinched nerve in my inner ear. I went to an ENT and he wasn't able to find anything.

Where do I go from here?
Does anyone know what I am feeling? I am scared.

I haven't had one of these spells in many years and just went I thought they were gone they are back.
I could have one spell and not have another one for weeks or months or years or I could have several frequently.
I even went the the ER but they said they can't help unless it was happening to me right then but they only last 5 to 15 minutes and by the time I got there it stops.

Please HELP!

Try getting an MRI if possible cause that could tell nerve things. I have somethign 'similar' and the ears ringing is a symptom, I suppose the one thing u mentioned that got me attention is the thing at the base of the skull. I have arnold chiari 1 malformation and while I'm couldn't tell what u have really....I'd suggest an MRI cause they would rule out stuff or make stuff more apprent..... or try and ear nose and throat specialist cause u may have damage to your ear drum. good luck with it.
