My husband has white lines or some of the white are faded or just a spot.
He says it's from poisoning, I wonder if he's right?
This isn't joke-he thinks I am poisoning him!

White lines that run horizontal to the nail are called leuconychia and are caused by voids in the nail plate cell production. They are not caused by poisoning or anything else. The matrix (where the nail plate cells are produced) may 'forget' to develop a cell or a series of cells. When this happens it shows up in the nail plate as white lines. It is nothing to worry about; they will grow out with the nail plate. They may develop from time to time, or they may never develop again.

My grandmother, who was a nurse, used to tell me they were calcium deposits. I always figured it was too much milk. I get them, too.
Sometimes people can permanently get them on their teeth when they are developing if they drink too much milk. I knew a girl with these deposits on her teeth.
