Hello everyone.
Today is my first day starting my routine exercising. I've been wanting to go for almost 4 or 5 months now on a regular basis. I've had the motivation, but no one to go with. And I just recently found someone at my workplace that would also like to go regularly, like me. So, we're starting to go now. I hope to go 3 times a week. Maybe more frequently if I attend a closer gym...
I took pictures of myself as "before" shots.

(I'm very shy so its out of my bubble to be posting pics!)
I'm planning to drink whey, as I've heard that it builds back the proteins needed when you tear your muscles while you exercise. Is this true? I'm going to GNC to get some 100% whey.
But for those of you who have worked out, and know how your body has progressed, how do you think my body will react to the exercise? My body type is, as you can see, slim, but not athletic. I hope I can get there. Cmon and gimme some support :)
I'm really wanting ot start off focusing on my arms, pecs, and stomach. Then I'd like to move on to my back and legs and other areas. Right now, I think my arms need a lot of help. They're so little :(
Please leave your opinions. I'm very interested~

If you're eating well and working out smart, I bet you'll see great changes. Your first order of business should not be to focus on particular muscle groups. You need to start with overall development and conditioning and *then* work to bring up any body parts that are lagging. If you are going 3x a week, there is no reason to leave any muscle groups out. You need to keep balance and symmetry for the sake of strength, aesthetics as well as to prevent injuries. What sort of workout are you doing?
Whey is a good place to start, but the whole diet needs to be good in order for this to work the most effectively. (And GNC is very expensive. Try Costco or somewhere online).

Iser- After some general condition that Nax suggested go to the basics to build a base of muscle. Simple compound movements are the quickest road to success
Squat once a week
Deadlift every 10-12 days
Dumbell Bench press once a week
Fill in with some secondary exercises around this and remember - It's all about DIET!

The body looks ideal for working out. I can almost see the abs that are gonna be popping out. Youre lucky you wont have much cardio to do
