im a 17yr old girl and i went to get a urine test done because i thought i had a urine infection, but it came back saying i have chlamydia. Now this is VERY confusing for me because me and my bf were both virgins when we met, have never slept with anyone else and have never had unprotected sex.
I was thinking maybe they had picked up the urine infection and somehow mistook it for chlamydia...??..so my doctor called the lab and asked what the chance was that it was a false reading but he sed that chance is like .05%
So im confused as to how i got this. My bf is currently waiting on results so im not sure if he has it yet.
Is there ANY other way i could have got this???

its probably more possible that your boyfriend was not actually a virgin

Well you say you and your boyfriend were virgins when you met and have never had unprotected sex. BUT the truth of the matter is that you can aquire Chlamydia also through either anal or oral sex.

You can get it from an infected person. So either he wasn't totally honest with you....or...well I really don't know what else.

Well i know that it can be transmitted during vaginal, anal or oral sex. (unprotected)However, i'm not trying to say THIS is how you got it, it's just a bit of extra information; turns out if a mother is infected with chlamydia it can even be passed on to her baby during labor. If that wasn't one of the factors...I'm not sure. Have you tried asking your Dr? Maybe you can offer you a little more accurate info. Good Luck!

chlamydia is only transmitted through sex. Or like the others said anal or oral as well. I'm not trying to say the your b/f is lying but...it is a sexually transmitted disease. If I were you I would talk to your b/f about this and tell him that you didn't pick chlanydia up from thin air. I don't mean to be blunt, I just think there is something he's not telling you. Good luck hun.
