View Full Version : Inner ear and nausea

My doctor has diagnosed me with an infection in the inner ear.

I have been suffering from nausea and dizziness for 7 months, so I am glad to know what is wrong finally.

I am using a motion sickness patch for the nausea. I haven't had any nausea since I started.

My doctor says that the infection will go away on it's own.

Is this true? ...or should I be on medication?

Any insight would be great!

Hey there!

Was you given any antibiotics? or did he say it was viral?

You should have some sort of medication for it.

I wasn't given anything.

That is what worries me.

If its viral - they cannot give you any medicationf or it - if it does not hurt - then its prob viral labyrinthitis. Medication should not be taken as it delays recovery. A referral to an ENT or Neurotologist is what is needed and you should have VRT (Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy). Are you v dizzy?
