Hello everyone,
I'm curious, does any here know what exact Functional Jaw Orthopedics is all about? I personally know what it is, but i think a lot of you just don't have a clue. So i guess, my question is how many of you actually know what it is about? Not in great depth, but just the basics. I hope people will respond to this question.

wow, about 30 somewhat people view my post, and 1 actually posted. :D
To be frank, FJO is the path to recovery. This is why i asked how many of you know what FJO is.

Take care,

Actually - Old Pal- many people on this board know what FJO is. Their TMJ Specialists may have had a different name for it, but if you took the time to read over the old posts you would have seen that many have had the 2-phase treatment with the removable splints or exanders followed by a second phase of permanent othodontics (either braces, equilibriation, crowns...).
The majority of these people are well-educated and well-informed patients.
Please don't asssume that a complex condition such as this can be categorically treated in one similar fashion. Offer support. Offer help. Stop with the condescending attitude.
These are people who require your help...not a self-serving lecture.

Actually......I know of quite a few that saw FJO's and weren't helped in the least.....some had gotten worse.

Sanity Lost -
I have been there, too.

Never, NEVER limit yourself to one source or information. Visit teaching institions. Emrace those years,

Great that you guys know. I'm not being condescending, i'm just trying to help because a lot of people still don't know. But this i don't get, if FJO cures "tmj," (and i think you all know that) why are you all still suffering?

Which FJO doctors have those people been to? they must not be good doctors.

I don't think that I've been condescending in the least. Only agreeing that people need to seek out a dentist that studies various methods of treatment and not only one. (Thus the quote.."The more the merrier')

You're right, some FJO's are not good doctors. Unfortunately, I can't name any names.....otherwise it would be libelous.

In all seriousness, i think for those that are having tremendous recurring headaches (tmj), should do a little more research on FJO because i swear to God it will help you to get to a normal life.
