I am afraid that my 16 year old brother may be anorexic. However, I don't live with him and don't see him often, so I'm really not sure exactly how much he eats or doesn't eat. He says that he eats a lot, but I am extremely worried about him. He has dropped over 50 pounds in the past 7 months and has loose skin hanging off of his stomach. Are there any dead give aways that I might look for? I'm very familiar with anorexia in teen girls as I have battled with it myself for the past ten years, but don't know a thing about how it manifests in teenage boys. Please help if anyone has some input.

If you know the signs, then you know what to look for. It won't look any different in him than it does in girls. Watch him around food, get an idea about his attitude towards food and eating.
