Hi!! Unfortunately there is no "permanent" fix to get your hair straight (trust me, I've tried). At the hairdresser they can perform a chemical straighten, which is sort of like a perm in reverse. I think there are also similar, but more updated techniques. But of course, it's like having a colour in your hair, and once the regrowth starts, the curl will start there too, although the part that has been straightened will generally stay pretty frizz free. It is a fairly damaging procedure to have, dries the hair out alot, weakens it and it breaks easier... but if you look after it well, it shouldn't be too bad. I have been getting mine done every year and a half, but am giving it a rest after a few years of this. This is probably the closest to a "permanent" fix as you are going to get. Bear in mind that it can also be expensive.
Hope this helps!! :D

you have to go into a salon and have it professionally done.. unles your hair is colored you may not want to cause its damaging...a hair straightening tool only lasts til its wet...

lol dang:( my hair salon really stinks here... last time i got a perm, they almost scarred my head with acid burns. so, the straighten they give you will last 1 1/2 years? thats pretty cool. does it depend of if your hair is naturally straight, but just curly?

I have a bad frizz problem as well so one day I broke down and bought a straightener from the salon. It's a Ceramix brand straightener, model number IS-F1294C, I paid 87.00 before tax and I LOVE it! The way I usually do my hair is:
Day 1: Wash and blow dry (you could air dry if your hair is thinner)
Straighten (goes quickly, with super smooth sleek results)
Day 2: Wear it again
Day 3: Day one! Or wear it longer but my hair usually gets oily by then
You'll only need little touchups after the first day till your next wash. I have very thick puffy hair=) but with this it lays up to 2 or 3 inches flatter!
Hope this helps? :p
