View Full Version : Brain Noise

Subsequent to my previous post, the doc has requested that I go for an MRI as soon as possible. The brain noise was so severe yesterday I was unable to concentrate on anything. BP is 110/70. No doctor at the clinic; the nurse allowed me to continue with my own treatment with Advil four times a day.

Could someone please:
a) define the exact medical term used to describe the brain noise I am hearing (this morning a friend reported he had the same symptoms for a very long time, along with pressure on both sides of the head - same as me)

b) Please explain in layman's terms exactly what is a MRI.

Many thanks.

Finally got an answer today to my symptoms:
brain noise (static) and pain.

It is called a 'tension headcahe' and the use of anti-inflammatories such as Advil highly recommended.
