Hi! over the summer I developed inflamed nerves throughout my arms, hands, and toes. I've also become light headed in public areas, and become stressed and tingling in places that are loud, crowded, or just obnoxious. The doc diagnosed me as having inflamed nerves, as at first I thought I had carpol tunnel syndrome. I want to know if inflamed nerves ever heal, and if they do how long!?!? In almost all of my spare time I write html for web pages, and that contributes greatly to the inflammation. The nerve attacks get so bad I feel like vomiting, or fainting. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif .The doc suggested Motrin (ibprofin) to ease down the inflammations, and that does help some. I also am worried, because suddenly my head has started tingling sometimes too. Although that happens rarely, I might as well mention the whole sha-bam. Any suggestions on healing, or at least easing the discomfort and pain? Thanks, BYE! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

There are different reasons why nerves become inflamed. Certain kinds of viruses an cause inflammation. Certain kinds of food can cause inflamation. Certain chemicals can cause inflamation. Your doctor does not appear to be capable of determining what the problem is. You need to see a neurologist. Motrin may reduce the inflamation, but it won't make it go away.

I agree with the former posting. I would suggest you see another doctor for a second opinion. If you know anyone who works in the health field or someone acquainted with hospital personnel, they might be able to refer you to someone who may be able to do more.
