I suffer from severe migraines to the point to where I feel like I'm dying from the pain. I've been suffering from migraines for about 2 years now and I take imatrex even though it doesn't work all the time. My migraines usually last from 1 to 4 days at a time and these are the worst days of my life. Unlike most people light doesn't bother me all that much most of the time, its mainly sound and smell. Since the smell gets to me the worst it's extremely hard for me to eat sometimes gets to the point where I am being force fed by my friends, just so i stay hydrated. I also get really nauseous to the point that I am up all night long throwing up and I have to go to school the next morning looking like crap. They also keep me up late at night, to the point where I am screaming out in pain and crying so hard that I make myself throw up even more and when this happens no medicine seems to touch it.

Does smell bother anyone else?

I don't know if my migraines are weird of if others suffer from this, but does anyone else get so dizzy while their having a migraine to the point that it feels like your head is going to topple over and your going to fall?

First of all, you're not alone. I too am a teen with migraines for two years, however, mine are pretty much daily. I also, had no luck with imitrex, but relpax has helped me a lot. Certain smells do trigger my migraines at times. As far as being dizzy and falling over, my dizzy spells only happen when rising from a seated position. It turns out that I have low blood pressure. School is torture, when having a migraine. I easily missed half of my senior year, unfortunately. I'm sorry I can't help much, except send you my condolences. I am however feeling much better lately.

My neurologist has tried to put me on several difference migraine preventatives. Most of which I had allergic reactions to. Though I finally found a medication that works for me and I can tolerate (Pamelor). I know that the trial-and-error method isn't the most appealing course of action, but don't give up. Since I've started Pamelor, I've have migraines, on average, every other day now. Which, for me, is a huge step up. Well, I wish you luck. Try Relpax, it just may help. Best wishes.
