I've weaned up and down on zoloft dosages and stopped 'cold turkey'. I would not recommend just stopping all together! :p When I increase/decrease dosages, I just get a moderate headache and pretty tired for 1-2 days. I'm not sure the amount of time you're looking at being off it completely, but for me personally, I'd rather decrease 50mg 3 times than 25mg 6 times. Just make sure you communicate with your doc. Good luck!

When I weened off Zoloft my only symptoms were dizziness/lighheadedness. It occured everytime I would turn my head and lasted for about 10 days. It was annoying but nothing that was so bad I couldn't live with it.

Yeah I've been feeling that even when I wasn't weening off...or especially a couple days I forgot my zoloft and it did the same thing..poopoo...I was hoping by weening off it wouldn't do that. Oh well, I'm just excited to get off this stuff. THanks for your help.

I gradually went down from 100 to 0 and the withdrawal symptoms were the worst once I was totally off of zoloft. The "zaps", etc were horrible, especially when walking/moving around and irritability was and still is a problem. I have had no zoloft in 6 weeks. The zaps have for the most part stopped but the grouchiness has not. I feel like I could run someone over some days, which was not the case prior to stopping. Good luck!
