Currently taking 100 MGS of Atenolol for B/P & 5/20 Lotrel for Blood Pressure. I also take 2-3 Xanax a day for anxiety. Some days my stomach bothers me in the morning, or I just feel out of it-jittery. Does anyone else have this in the Morning? I'm just trying to pinpoint whether it is the B/P meds. or the Xanax. At 34, 5' 11" 150, I shouldn't feel this way. It is sporadic & it happens a couple of times a week. It happens primarily in the mornings. Thanks.

I've never taken any kind of BP medication so I really can't answer as to if the BP meds could be causing this stomach for you...hopefully someone who has taken those meds can be of some help.
As for the Xanax, I did take that at one time...but at a much lower dose.
It never gave me stomach problems, but medications do different things to different people.
The best advice I can give you is to talk to your Doctor about what you're feeling...sorry I couldn't be of more help.

My doctor is pretty clueless (I shouldn't be on B/P meds.). I have high readings in his office & that is it. I had 7 beers this weekend, so I wonder if combined with the meds. it makes me feel this way. It does the same thing with certain pasta.

I'm certainly not a Doctor, but I agree with you about the BP meds.
If everyone who got a high BP reading only in a Doctors office was put on BP meds then most of the population of the world would be on them.
Has he never heard of or mentioned to you "White Coat Syndrome"
I have that, I get normal readings at home...well below normal most of the time, but more often than not my readings are high in his office.
My Doctor is the one who told me about "White Coat Syndrome"
To put my mind at ease he's also the one who suggested I take it at home everyday at the same time for a week and bring the readings to my next appointment.
When all of the readings were good he just looked at me and said.."See I told you that you don't have high blood pressure."
Like I said I'm not a Doctor, but the beers may have had something to do with it.
I sure hope you get an answer soon.
Let us know.

I feel better now than earlier. My liver tests in May were perfect, but the beer combined with the meds & xanax (even though 7 in 2 days isn't that much) might have been the culprit.

I would say it is NOT the Xanax. I have a pretty messed up stomach (comes in spurts for months, then gone a few years) - but I'll take that on an EMPTY stomach and it's fine - it's only .25mg, but I have taken .5 also.

I agree. I think that it's the B/P meds. When I wake up & feel jittery at times, it could be in between dose withdrawals. You are both on a very low dosage.
