View Full Version : Elbow/forearm pain

my right elbow (really more forearm) has been hurting for three or four weeks. I did some research and am pretty sure is tennis elbow. I have purchased one of those straps for my forearm and skipped my back/biecpt day (these exercises seem to hurt more than any other). few questions...how long should I take off from weight training, is there anything else I can do to help it (other than ice/heat), what exercises can I do to help avoid this in the future.

Thanks for the help.

This is aggrevated by a grippimng too tightly. Try to use wrist straps for back (when this is healed) use open hand grips as welln when training . At this point, work around the injury. This one can take a while to heal.

Would bandages help? (boxing bandages)

They make a strap that is supposed to put pressure on the tendon/muscle. Tendon connects muscle to bone and this is a strain or tiny tear in the tendon. Some claim the straps and bandages have helped but I tried them and they did very little for me.
