Hi all, I have posted here several times before with all of my problems...here goes again...
Tomorrow I am having a Motility Test. How bad is it?

I have been getting horrible, horrible chest pain, left chest pain into my left arm, pain between my shoulder blades. I was taken to hospital by ambulance last month and was given an angiogram, which was negative. So, I know it is not a heart attack. Just had an endo and colonostopty last week. Some reflux, hiatal hernia and a small twist in my colon. I am really at my wit's end, I have been crying most of the day because this pain is so BAD! The gastro would like me to try Procardia but my cardio dr was not too happy about that because my blood pressure is very low to start and I do have pvcs (premature ventricular contractions).

Sorry for the long post, but please, if there is anyone on this board that has been getting the same pain, please, I beg you write back to me.

By the way, I am a 44yr old female.

Hi,
I am a 33 year old female and I seem to have similar symptoms. I am having chest pain/tightness, back, neck and arm pain, hurts when I breath in. About 4 weeks ago I went to E.R. for this. Had and EKG and it showed I have a right bundle branch block which I guess I have always had and I was told is just my heart beats differently and is not a problem. Anyway, Dr's are leaning more toward digestive problems and I have not been to Gastro yet. I have an appt. for next week. I have had my gallbladder out 5 years ago so I know it is not that. This has been going on for a couple of months now and I am tired of feeling this way!!!! I never heard of Motility test. Sorry. What is it? Good luck to you. I thought I would reply because symptoms sounded like mine.

I dont have the same problem but I have had the motility test. It is uncomfortable but not too bad. You just have to try not to swallow until they tell you, which is difficult with a tube in the back of your throat. The test is over in minutes! Youll do fine.

Thanks! I had the test today and it showed that I do have esophogeal spasms. The test was uncomfortable but I have had worse. The dr wants me take a drug called Pamine Forte. Anyone ever hear of that drug?

Thanks again..

Nancy
