Hello,

I've never posted here before but read many of the other posts. I just wanted to let those that are thinking of getting off of Zoloft, or any SSRI that it is possible to do it and not go crazy. I was on Zoloft for 2 years. I had previously used other SSRIs but had just switch from one to another instead of stopping any of them. After taking 2 months to slowly wean myself off I have been now been completely off Zoloft for 2 months. The first 3 weeks are the most difficult but the "zaps" will start to fade. Now that 2 months have passed I think it was completely worth it to get off Zoloft. I didn't want to rely on it anymore.

I had been on antidepressants (Paxil, Serzone, then Zoloft) for 9 years and I am finally free of them and feeling good!

I had such horrible writhdrawal from Zoloft. It gave me akathesia (and most atypical neuroleptics have given me akathesia too). I couldnt function.

This was a long time ago though and I am now on Parnate which I have read is really hard to come off. Oh well... :(

Take care

Chris :)
