I have had a headache on and off for the last week or so but have a had a feelimg of pressure in my head for about two weeks. The headache is not bad if I am just sitting still but if i bend down the pain is quite severe. It feels like there is a lot of pressure and my head feels so heavy. Lastnight it was very bad and even the slightest movement was excrutiating. That pain seems to have settled now but I still have the strange feelings. Sometimes I get really irritable with my parents and frineds for no reason, is this a sign of anything. I thought it was just because I am a teenager but now im beginning to worry I have a brain tumour. Please if anyone has any idea about what it could be i would be very grateful.

The good news is, you probably don't have a brain tumor. Most brain tumor do not start out causing painful headaches. The usually cause seizures or stroke like symptoms and don't cause pain until they are large.
I would say that you have a sinus infection. You need to go to the doctor and get an antibiotic so you will get better.

My daughter has a brain lesion and hers started out with headaches and dizziness. If the pain continues tell them you would like a MRI of your head.
I hope this helps.

Hi speaking from experience of 2 brain surgery I dont think you have a brain tumor sounds like you are having migranes a migrane can make you feel your head is going to pop sometime it can last a day an hour even a week. You may want to start keping a journal of whenyou get a headache keep a list of things you eat that day big migranes trigger are caffine cholacte milk cheese hotdogs peanuts popcorn and more sometime you get an aura like little white light when you are having a migrane the best thing for it is to close your eyes there is medication for it you may even want to try over the counter med you can ask your pharnasit what he woulld recommend for a migrane. If the headache keep up you may want to visit your gp and let him or her decide there is alot of prescription med that help headache. hugs and love pattea

megan44-- many infections can produce the symptoms you described. If you feel worried still, you should go to your dr and describe in detail what is/has been going on and your concerns. Your dr may want to do further tests (blood work, MRI or x-rays). Best of luck!
