:) Hello
Just a quick hello from work (on my lunch). Still no smoke and averaging about 1 piece of nico gum a day split between three. The "down" fellings are there if I don't but not a major problem.
Did not go out monday but will be out sunday at works crimbo do. That will be hard but everytime I want a cig I will replace it with something else....a shot of scotch whisky :D :dizzy:
Hi Deda
No pie at my local shop, did not see any :( would have to go further a field.
Just had my rota for work. Not good. Working the friday to the Tuesday (nights) So not going to see anyone to deliver any pressies to so may wait to the sales and deliver them than.
Anyway Deda I am just waiting for the kings game to start. We have live pictures here. So when my lunch is over back to my work desk with a tv on it and supporting the kings ;) .
Better sign off no time to read other posts tonight so hope everyone doing well.

Hey toneighty..
Nice to hear from you tonight. LOL
Yes, Kings played terrible offense tonight, didn't they? Don't know what's up with them, tonight. :(
So you couldn't find any pumpkin pie? Keep looking. It will be worth the extra effort.
So glad you are still smoke free! And how do you cut those little pieces of gum into 3 pieces? Well, I know that can be done, but it sure woudn't feel like much once you start chewing it..hehe. :D So do you have a little piece of nico gum everyday? At least it's not too much, it will be all the more easier for you to let go of. I just reread your post and see that you said you average 1 piece of nico gum per day. That's really great that you can get by on such a small amount.
What is a "crimbo do" at your work? LOL
Keep up the good work, neighty, and :nono: not too many shots of scotch whiskey! LOL When it gets real bad for me, I'll have a cookie! ;)
take care...

Hi Deda
Kings were poor last night...my theory of supporting them did not work. But I am no expert in basketball yet but it seemed that the lakers could throw the ball a mile away and still score. Oh well can't win em all. We have the wizzards at the lakers on tv tonight. So will watch a bit of that before I finish work.
I find I can cope on a third of a piece of gum in any one time and a gum seems to be fine. Previous times I tried to give up I had to take 7-8 pieces. Its probably due to me ghoing cold turkey for the first week or so.
"Crimbo do"= Christmas Party. We have one at a hotel on sunday, all paid for. Free food, wine and other drinks :bouncing:
Better get back to work. Last night on and I have four days off.
All the best to you and I promise not to cheer the kings on again lol they may win next time.

Hey neighty--
Did ya have a good time at your crimbo-do? Hope you didn't have to put up with any smoking over there, making your time more enjoyable. :)
wow, that box of nic gum must last you a long time, but that's good, as expensive as it is. I had forgot that you quit cold turkey the first week.
Well, I'm watching my Kings, and they are doing well. Or maybe it's just that the other team, (N. O.) is doing so terrible. As long as they are winning, I do not care.
Well, hope you had fun, and are enjoying the holidays! :D

Hi D
Sitting behind my PC  and with a head that is not very clear. Which basically translates to I have a Hangover. :(
I engaged in the pleasures of wine that would put the French to shame and engaged in the pleasures of Scotch that would put even the Scots to shame. :D
It was a good night and even shared a taxi home ;) but I was an , well almost :p . I did not have a pen at hand so no telephone number but just maybe I may bump into her again and get it then.
There were plenty of smokers there and many on the same table as me so I ..............drank more wine instead. I DID NOT HAVE ONE :bouncing:
I may have a big hangover but I am :) that I got through the night. I was uncomfortable at the start but as the evening went on and I was becoming more :dizzy: the less I thought about them. When I got home I realised that I did it, gone all night without a smoke. I had two pieces of gum. I would normally smoked about 20 cigs when I go out for a beer or two and suffer next day with lungs full of poison but lungs are feeling :bouncing:
Got to go and get drugged up............on coffee/caffeine otherwise I will waste a day off from work.
One month, one week, four days, 2 hours, 11 minutes and 51 seconds. 698 cigarettes not smoked, saving £76.84. Life saved: 2 days, 10 hours, 10 minutes.

Hi neighty--
:) I'm so glad that you had such a good time, but more than that, I'm glad that you didn't give in to the ol' nicodemon! :D Way to go...I know that is not easy to do when one is young, and drinking with friends. Like I said before, I ruined a good 14 month quit, way back when I was 24. It was many years before I tried again. You are a toughie, neighty! Your will to stay quit and non smoking is STRONG. You must be thinking all the right stuff. ;)
Thanks for the very entertaining story, I get a huge kick out of your postings! Sorry about the hangover, and missing out on her phone #, (carry a pen next time!) BUT a big congratulations on not faltering that night!! Keep this up, you could be teaching smoking cessation courses. :nono:
Did ya catch the Kings tonight? Big win!
be good...
Deda :)

Hope you had a great christmas Deda :) .
I have finished my five day stint from work, so I have just taken a small shot of Scotch 7.09am :D to celebrate christmas and now going bed. I have 3 days off now so :bouncing:
I blame it on you guys over the pond (USA), that like to play sport on Christmas day  and that you are a number of hours behind us. Otherwise would have had Christmas day/night off :D. Only joking :jester: . Going bed now but will catch up later.

Hi there toneighty--
You didn't get Christmas day off??!! Sorry about that. How about New Year's eve, you get that off?
Yes, had a nice Christmas day. Of course we watched the 2 NBA games that were on, and watched a few movies too, and munched on turkey and pumpkin pie again! hehe
New years eve tomorrow night, and won't have to be stressing about quitting smoking, as that is usually my new years resolution. Glad it won't have to be that ever again!! :) But will definitely start dieting, and add more exercise! :(
Keep up the great work neighty, I saw on your other post that you now have 7 weeks smoke free under your belt, that's awesome. :D
HAPPY NEW YEAR! :jester:

Hi D
I have new years eve off. Back in at 6.00pm new years day. I did not catch any NBA on Christmas night but some (USA) Football.
Glad that you have had a good Christmas and that you do not need to quit New Years but I will give you a VERY big tip in reducing your calorific intake. It really is easy. I will not even charge you for the information. Go to a mailing company with your pumpkin pie and post it to me :D
Very improtant info. (for me)
I have been out with a friend of mine, who I have not seen for about 6 weeks. I went out with a beer with him and found out he has reduced his cig consumption. He, like me, use to smoke a good 20 cigs in the pub but he did not have the one. He said he has averaged about one a day. He is the friend who I have had the first cig from after a quit, so that’s why it is very good news. He has NEVER tried to quite/reduce before and he is serious about it.
One month, three weeks, 12 hours, 49 minutes and 32 seconds. 876 cigarettes not smoked, saving £96.37. Life saved: 3 days, 1 hour, 0 minutes.
876 cigs not smoked
876 * 7 (drags) = 6132 :bouncing:
6132 chances that I have avoided getting cancer.
Have a great year Deda and everyone else on the board
My tastebuds are in full working mode now. I have poured myself a small shot of Highland Park whisk(e)y to celebrate the fact :p

Hey neighty...
Glad to hear that you are enjoying those taste buds so much now! lol :dizzy:
I would for sure send you a pumpkin pie, if I could. :)
I'm happy today is the start of a New Year, and life can now go back to normal. No more eating like a piggie just because "it's the holidays". Now I must work on losing about 12 lbs. (oh what fun!)
Hope that you have a wonderful New Year, neighty! :D
more later...
