How are you doing buff? Are your symptoms any better now? Let me know what is going on.

By the way, I SO agree that we are way past mind over matter, if that is all it took I would NOT be in this situation.

Hi Karen hope things are going good for you that was so sweet to check up on me (thanks)
as for me I am just waiting for my insurance to approve my surgery trying my hardest to get into the holiday spirit :)
I'm off my steroids now and it really seems without them things go down hill quickly when on them they seem to greatly reduce my pain DR says it helps the inflammation which in turn helps the fluid drain but they are a temporary fix (cant stay on them forever) I got a question for you
Do you ever wonder if there is something more going on than TMJ ? Do you ever get scared when the pain hits that maybe you have a brain tumor or something?
I felt silly yesterday but my head hurt so bad that i questioned if it is all TMJ i know it most likely is But dang sometimes its so bad it scares me
well enough complaining it never helps LOL
Hope you have a WONDERFUL holiday
Thanks again for caring

Buff,
I am glad you are ok......hadn't heard from you in a while!

Oh, I sure did think I had a brain tumor!! I was sure of it. Especially with the pain and then the dizziness and numbness I would get in my lips and nose. I even went to a neurologist and he ran all kinds of tests and did scans and mri's, everything was normal. In fact it was a neurologist who diagnosed me with muscular tmj. Don't feel silly at all for worrying about that, it is only normal and it is hard to think something is so wrong and that it is a jaw problem.

I am glad you are off the steroids. They can bring havoc on your body and your other organs.

Are you nervous about your surgery? I know it would be terribly hard to get in the Christmas mood with all this hanging over you.

Keep in touch,
Karen
