 HI, I just cant seem to be injury free for more than 2 months. Earlyier tonight I was doing some deadlifts, i went for my last attempt and about 3 inches off the ground I felt my lower back pull, tweak, muscle seprate... It happend really quick so I dropped the bar and called it quits. I tried to stretch it out right away and it did feel better stretching it. So I came right home and iced it and heated it all night. I then jumped in a HOT bath for 20 min then rubbed on deep heating cream. Now the pain is keeping me awake, I can feel it all across the lower back and a little in my butt.
What should do to speed the recovery up?
What medication should i take?
How long will this last for?
PLEASE help

If it were me, I'd stay off my feet for 24 hours. I would take a nice hot bath (not too hot) and try to keep those muscles as relaxed as possible.

After 24 hours, I'd start back with some very basic trunk stabilization exercises, light ab stuff...that kinda thing.

Anti-inflammatories are probably best, but take whatever you find usually keeps you out of pain.

Hate to tell you... but it could last for weeks/months.

Why were you doing deadlifts?

Are you serious, this injury can last for weeks if not months. This is not cool at all. Is there any way to speed up the recovery?

Deadlifts build a stong lower back, so i was told.

Have you been shown how to do them? Have you had any instruction?
