Hello-In 1987 I had Belsey anti-reflux surgery to correct a hernia. Part of my esogaphus had also eroded and had to be "reformed" using chest muscle. Have had LOTS of problems since. My esogaphus is now deformed, the surgery has come loose, and the reflux is worse. Looks like they want to do more surgery to correct the problem. I have already developed a schotskys ring around my esophagus which had to be opened. Mine was around the outside rather than on the inside and was 16mm thick, compared to normal ones which are usually 4-6 mm. Anyone have a second surgery for reflux? If so were there complications not associated with your first surgery? Do you feel it has helped the problem or not? Don't want to go through that again if there is no relief. My endo is scheduled for the 22nd and wanted to have info before then incase they suggest another surgery. Thanks!
