every few months, i get a pain right in the middle of my chest/back. i'm sure its heartburn. its always after i've had something to eat. it used to happen when i had Wine, then ate meat. I have given up Wine. Now it happens sometimes with chinese food.

It lasts for about 10-30 minutes, and once it goes away, i'm 100% fine. its weird, but very painful.

thanks.

You may have esophagel spasms, they feel like a heart attack! Those spasms usually happen only after eating a meal so you may want to look into that! GERD is along with it.

It sounds like two allergies (I have them both so I know.) You are sensitive to sulfites (in the wine) and excess levels of MSG (from the Chinese food.) Stick with Szechuan (ratherthan Mandarin, or worse, take out:()...less MSG.

That Chinese Restaurant SYndrome can REALLY feel just like a heart attack...but after the first 50 times, it becomes second nature (my "take-out heart attack":D)

BEWARE DRIED APRICOTS...they are MURDER on the sulfite sensitive.
