So I am venting, thought I had my apartment sublet, landlords being problematic, it was interesting because I got angry and then super dizzy, more dizzy then I've been for a while. Anyone else had that or noticed their emotions about other emotional things (world outside of lab) feel like 100 worse then they used to. Must be the stress.

Hi Jade. Yes I do notice I get much more stressed about other things than I used to. Its def the stress. My symptoms dont get worse with stress thouhg unless I really over breathe and sometimes I can feel a bit more faint. Try not to worry xxx

Jade,

Emmotional or physical stress always gets me going. I'm ok with some day-to-day stress, but the heavy duty stuff gets my symptoms going.

Getting angry really makes the dizzies kick in - I suppose part of it is an adrenylin reaction, but also I guess the brain is less good at supressing symptoms if it's using up all it's resources being angry...

it's mean't I try not to get angry anymore much is probably a good thing - though it has turned me into a bit of a pushover

Jade...any emotional "rev up" whether it be anger, stress, excitement....can all push the buttons. Luckily it doesn't really happen much with me now but I think if I was faced with something really stressful, the sort that burns in your gut, I'd be a wreck again most likely.

Hi Jade,

I always feel more dizzy if I am upset or angry, but on a few occassions when Ive been totally boiling mad, ie screaming at Fiance and having an absolute humdinger I have actually felt better for an hour or so, then its gone back to feeling dizzy and yuk again. I really think in my case it is something to do with adrenaline, because when I had a small mouth op a while back the injection to numb the area had adrenaline in it and again I actually felt a little better for a couple of hours after. Weird eh?

Sorry you are having probs with your landlord - hope you feel a bit better now

In instances when my stress is very high (on adreneline ex: when my son broke his leg), I feel better, but I think it catches up with me later (maybe even a few weeks later).

Thanks for all your replies!! I guess stress upon stress can impact the old vestibular system just like it would effect any health condiiton someone was dealing with. Just took me a little by surprise. Thank Goodness for all of you

Stress makes mine a lot worse... and it seems I'm always VERY stressed. Anything will set me off and I was impatient before all this crap.

I think it's just the piling up of misery with this problem.

Also, changes in barometric pressure make a big difference.

Agree that the "piling up" of this problem can take its toll - I have burst into tears for silly reasons the last few days - symptoms worse and my mood therefore plummets...part of the rubbish with this thing - unfortunately.

Happy New Year to all - hope 2005 is dizzy free for us all xxx

Hi CL,

The bursting into tears thing for no good reason is a result of the none-stop anxiety you have been putting up with. The same thing was happening to me earlier last year (2004 now). Your body chemistry is probably way off balance due to the stress of this whole thing. I really hope the CBT they are prescribing plus the VRT alleviates this for you -it's an awful feeling being tearful all the time and worse when there really is no particular reason you can put your finger on for it.

Happy 2005!!!

Thanks scott - appreciate it - yep symptoms horrendous at mo so particularly low. Its amazing how the symptoms correlate a lot to my mood. Guess its understandable really. The key board is moving around so I need to get off here!!!!! Happy 2005.
