My wife is 26. She has been having strange pains in her head. Most of the symptoms are similar to Migrane Headaches.

When visited DR he said it sounds like Migrane

She would suddenly see fog and lightning in front of her eyes. Then, she would feel nausea and then throw up and immediatly, her head is struck with MAJOR headache!!! The pain is sever that she can not stand light or sound.\

The pain lasts hours sometimes.

2 days ago, she had the same thing which started at 10pm. the pain lasted until around 6am when she suddenly felt nausea again and she went to bathroom to vomit!! Her neck was so stiff and painfull.

Upon vomitting, she fell on the ground and was "out". I could not wake her up at all!! I carried her to bed and still could not wake her up!! Then she started to speak about an old issue in her life. When finally she woke up, she was confused and did not know where she was. He arm was so stiff and her fingures were so tight together!! minutes later her arm becamse loose!! Also, she recognized me!!

She told me that she remembers after vomitting, she was unable to stand and fell down and was "out"!!

Anyone knows what this could be?

Thanks

Good Morning.

what a terrifying thing .. to have someone in your arms and unable to rouse!!

Migraines affect people differently, although there is common ground in symptoms. The rigidity is intriguing however.

I would get her to a neuro physician as soon as possible. There could be underlying problems, and it's worth checking out.

Nausea, blindness, rigidity (stiffness caused through the agonising pain), passing out are all classic symptoms of a migraine, but if this 'out cold' is new, then I would advise you looking into it further.

Any changes should always be investigated.

Goodluck and let us know how you get on

Cheers

Thank you Mustang_sally

The "out cold" is not new. The whole thing is new. All these symptoms started recenly like less than a month ago!!!

Is this the right age to get Migrane anyway?

This sounds very serious actually and it does not sound like a normal migraine. There is no "age" for migraines, everyone can have them for different reasons and some people are more likely to have them then others. Based on the information you gave us it is very hard to tell what it is.
Some questions though.
Is she responsive to migrane pills?
How often? once a year? once a month? once a week?
Is it at the time of her period?
Is she eating any medications?
How many hours of sleep per night? Any sleep problems?
Is she stressed at work or school?
Any other medical conditions?

I do not want to scare you but I would take her to a doctor as soon as possible and maybe have some scans of her head and hope there is nothing abnormal.

Thank you for your response.

She DOES have problems with sleeping. Many nights she sleeps at 4-5am!!! and she is stressed out due to her family's problems

Her period is 10 days away now.

I do feel very bad for her and I hope it is not serious.
