Kamden: Went to the neuro today. Per my past posts, and like most here, I've been having problems with head and facial pain, hearing loss, ear fullness, arm numbness, positional vertigo and generally feeling like crap. We went over all of these symptoms and without my lead the neuro started talking about Myofascial Pain Syndrome - muscle knots that impact trigger points and can result in a number of seemingly unrelated symptoms. He touched several locations along my neck and back (trigger points), each one extremely knotted and sore (I thought I was just getting older). We also looked at several diagrams that show how a trigger point at the base of your neck can impact the inner ear, higher up in the neck can impact your face, and so on. There is no guarentee that trigger point therapy will cure everything but the neuro feels confident that with the right PT I should be able to eliminate most if not all of my symptoms. THIS WAS THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD IN OVER A YEAR! WOO HOO!

To anyone out there suffering with similar symptoms please pursue this as an option. I was diagnosed with menieres syndrome but refused to believe since I didn't have all the classic symptoms and just felt like the ENT wanted to get rid of me. This is on of the most mis-diagnosed conditions and should not be taken lightly. Kamden, thanks for all of your help. I'll let you know how the PT goes.

rgraf8, I am SOOOOOOO happy to have been able to give you a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!! I remember how so very depressed and upset I felt when I also had these same symptoms, and felt like I was losing my mind, all the time running to the doctor who couldn't find a thing wrong! I am so happy for you, and happy to have helped you. Thankyou so much for letting me know how your appointment went. I hope PT helps you. If it does, please continue to post here and let others know about this overlooked condition. And thankyou for acknowledging my help. Makes me feel so good to help somebody else! Kamden
