I don't really know where to start. I'm 22 with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy. Basically I have slight difficulty walking. Since I was 18, my health has been deteriorating. I've seen several doctors and they don't know what to tell me. I have a worsening gait. I have awkward movements that I never had before. My neck and spine hurt a lot. I get a lot of headaches and my eyes "flutter" sometimes.
There are a couple of symptoms I haven't brought up with my doctor b/c I've never remembered to:
1. WHEN I GET TIRED I HAVE TO PUSH ON THE BACK OF MY NECK WHERE IT MEETS MY SKULL TO RELIEVE THE TENSION AND PAIN.
2. WHEN I GET REALLY REALLY TIRED MY FACE GOES KNUMB.

I'm only 22 and the last neurologist I went to see says it may be a posterior fossa lesion or cerebellar ataxia. I'm worried but I don't know how concerned to be. My MRI isn't until next july. Seems like a long time to wait to see if I have a brain tumor. I need any information I can get. Thank You

Why so long a wait for the MRI? I can usually have mine done the same week that I go to the doc.

Sorry to hear all this. Sounds something like my neice is going throught but then maybe different. I would ask the doctor to have another MRI as soon as he can do one to see the white matter of your brain....Please keep in touch and let us know whats going on....thanks, Gwen

Thanks for the posts. I'm not really concerned about it too much. I know this is an issue for my doctor and I plan on talking more with him about it, but I thought someone could relate an experience. I'll keep you posted

I would have that MRI and a CAT scan as soon as you can. I'm 43 and have spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. Baclofen pills might help the neck pain and spasticity. I've been on them for 9 years. They do make you a bit tired, but I took them in college and I still drive with them. If the drowsiness bothers too much take it at night. If you had a brain tumor (my friend has one) you have headaches, you fall, can't keep your balance, have facial numbness, blurry vision, and other serious symptoms. The MRI could rule it out, and if not as early a treatment as possible the better. kris k
