Hi I everyone i seem to bounce around on all these boards like a rabbit LoL.
I have a question for anyone that is knowledgeable in the anemic area.
Breif history of me...Im hypothyroid that is not in control at the moment and possible adrenaline fatigue.Ok my question I was in a car wreck a month ago Nov 10.I was put into emergency surgery for them to insert a steel rod and 2 screws into my leg b/c my tibula and fibula snapped in half.Well during the surgery I lost 3 units of blood ..Dropping my hemoglobins from a 14 down to a 11 and my RBS went from a 4.58 down to 3.36.How long does it take for the blood to build back up in your body? Also did I take that much of a drop for me to feel weak and lightheaded upon any movement..For pete sakes im getting sick feeling when i try to take a bath. Thank you for any input...Take Care

Sudden loss of blood like you had is more noticeable and more difficult for the body to adjust to than a gradual drop over time due to small leaks, or spotting. So to answer your question if you lost 3 units of blood, plus the surgery and the trauma of the wreck originally, I am not surprised at all that you would find it difficult to think, move or do a lot of normal things without great effort. Are you getting the blood replaced?

Shew ...I thought I was going crazy..I am tiring out very easliy, spacey feeling in my head and staying depressed , but no they are not replacing my blood..The Dr said I should be getting my strength back in 2 months..So I was curious if that was true or not b/c I feel like shoes..This was my very 1st surgery ever in my whole life.So I dont know what to expect or when I should be feeling back to normal.
All i know is I feel awful and Im not going to be able to walk for 5 months.
Thank you for your responce..Take Care
