Hey Kamden and those reading this!!

I finally saw a PT today and she said my neck was extremely tight and full of big knots and my jaw was deviated or misaligned(something like that). Believe it or not, I was actually happy to hear that. I'm not getting my hopes up, but maybe I've found the smoking gun to my nasty problem. Just to refresh you, my symptoms include feeling spacy, dizzy without the world spinning around me, anxiety, ears ringing, fatigue, eye problems, heaviness in my head, lack of concentration and focus, all of those fun things.

She asked me if anything happened to me before this started. I have had numerous doctor ask me this and I never recall anything. Today I remembered that prior to my feeling like this I rear-ended a car. I only remember my foot feeling sore(from slamming the breaks). I don't remember my neck being sore. Could I have injured my neck and not known it? My symptoms are similiar to whiplash without the pain in the neck and shoulders. I think you had a similiar problem. I thought maybe you could give some insight.

I appreciate your time and efforts!

sincerely,
nate

Hi Nate, I hit a car that turned in front of me at 35 mph, and injured my neck pretty bad. I had all the symptoms of a concussion ( all the ones you have named ), including severe neck pain and stiffness. It does sound like that accident you had is the cause of your symptoms. Also, overuse of muscles and straining them can bring these symptoms back. I ended up having to go back to PT because all these symptoms came back, ( off balance, dizzy spells, etc. ) EXCEPT for the neck pain. This was because of the job I was doing. So, yes, you can have a muscle problem and not have the pain untill these areas are specifically checked. I am really glad that your problem seems to be muscle related and hope you get some relief soon. PT was painfull for me, but the only thing that worked too. Let us know how you do, and keep us posted on your treatments, and we can answer any more questions you may have. Good luck
