Can anyone HELP, my husband has an arachnoid cyst, the size of 8cmlongx 5cm wide x4.5cm deep, situated in the left temperal region, he has a number of symptoms eg numbness,pins & needles in limbs, headaches, poor concentration,weakness, and the list goes on, Thats not to mention the focal seizures, approx 6 a day,
He is on mediction,1.tegretol, 2. topamax, 3.neurontin.The neurosurgeon has placed him on wait list, for periteneal shunt.Any one similar please could you reply,as my husband is beside himself, and being 30yrs,old with 5 kids dont help.

hi, ohjambo, we are still waiting to see the neurosurgeon in may,we will be seeing the neurologist at the end of january, i will reply again then...
In the meantime we are taking it easy,I hope your son stays on the road to a full recovery,hope to hear from you soon!!!!!

Hello ohjambo,, by the way what is your real name, mine is Christine, TROYS wife, i used Troys name on the boards because it was about him,,,Anyway i took him to the doc & she said they were going to put in a cystoperitoneal shunt, which has a little valve in it and a tube that will be run from his shunt to his belly inserted under the skin, and it will be slightly visible because Troy is so thin,& she said for Troy to stay on his medication & that she will see him again in 3 months,,,,,,,,so thats all with Troy, in the meantime his still on the wait list, the hospital will call him in when its his time,,,
So what have you been up to ohjambo ? How did your doc diagnose the stroke,I hope it was,nt to bad ?. So it looks like your son is going to be O.K,Iam glad for him !!!!!!Anyway ohjambo i will go for now, waiting to hear from you ? oh I meant to ask you are you married ? & how many kids do you have ???
