Those symptoms could be differential for all kinds of diseases, first one that comes to mind would be Multiple Sclerosis, Numbing or tingling of the limbs, electrical shock down spine or back area are VERY common symptoms for MS, But if you just have those 2 then i dont know. Any blurred/double vision, pins & needle pain in limbs, hearing loss, fatigue, weak limbs, attention disorders? MRI`s still can come back OK if you have brain lesions, dont always show up, its best to have a CT scan, plaques and lesions will appear better with a CT scan, also was the MRI done with or without contrast? and the air hissing in your ears is most likely tinnitus, let me know what happens

Sounds like tick borne illness to me - please check out my reply to stcarlsen and my reply to "dizziness, numbness, tingling" - Also come to the lyme board and check it out - I will tell you I never dreamed it could be what I was dealing with since I don't remember a tick bite or a bull's eye rash - I have lyme, ehrlichiosis and babesiosis.
The buzzing you are talking about coupled with the ringing and swooshing in the ears are common lyme symptoms. As well the tingling. I experienced all of this except for the ears thing...but others have told me they have experienced this.
Take care - and I hope you get answers soon - Oh, and be careful of the MS diagnosis - I will tell you that numerous lyme patients have been misdiagnosed with MS for years...one is on our board now who took interferon for years for MS and never showed any improvement - he then found out he has lyme and has started treatment and is doing better. Lyme can put lesions on the brain in the same places MS does so that is why it is a frequent misdiagnosis.

I injured myself lifting weights in 1989. I too have problems with nerves. I had all kinds of tests, was told I had MS but now they say I don't but I know I injured myself lifting the weight. Now when I attempt to use my strength (lift anything over 1/2 gallon of milk) I lose the use of my arm and the pain in my arm gets mirrored in my leg. Gentle stretching helps but only after months of doing nothing strenuous. Don't give up, don't let the doctors drive you crazy.
all the best
