I just read your post. That's not good. A few years ago, I had the flu & threw up something fierce! By doing so, I ruptured a blood vessel in my esophagus and bled internally for a few hours and continued to throw up blood throughout the day. I started to feel lightheaded as I began to faint. I finally went to the Emergency Room only to have painful tubes stuck up my nose, down my throat & into my stomach. I found out I had a Mallory Weiss Tear in my ESOPHAGUS. I had to be sedated & had the rupture quarterized w/ an endoscopy. I lost a lot of blood, had to get 3 pints of blood transfusion & stayed in ICU for 3 days!!! When you force yourself to throw up, you not only do alot of damage BUT you can rupture your esophagus. Is it really worth it? Take it from me, it's NOT! Plus, constant throwing up will rot your teeth over time.

Just to let you know that I went to the doctor this morning and he said that it isn't anything to worry about and is probably just an irritation in my oesophagus (sorry can't spell). I am supposed to buy some heart burn stuff from the chemist if it hurts. Also I am supposed to go on an "adult" diet and stop acting like a child. I am apparently not bulimic as I see myself as fat and am not using it as a control thing. So I guess I'm in the clear :-)

Does your dr. know you use to be bullimic? Blood in your vomit is not good. ,I don't mean to scare you or sound rude. A very close friend of mine was bulimic. She was pregnant and didn't even know. Well, she lost the baby because of the bulimia. She did get help and now it is under control, but the damage is already done. The dr.'s don't know if she will ever be able to have another baby. It hurts to see someone close to you go through it. Please talk to someone about this. Call a help line. Not only are you hurting yourself, you are hurting the people who love you most.

Eek! Thats scary...!! i'm bulimic and have been for 2 years and i'm only 14....my first time ever by self puking was when i was 8 or 9....yes! i was that young. i was always the fat one, and i was sick and tired of it...it only lasted a few days, until i got fed up with it cuz i was a kid! i had better things to do...but then the haunting came back to me when i was 12, and now 2 years later i am 14. I binge and purge A LoT! it was just christmas, and ooohh, lemme tell yah! all those cookies and crap and can make a girl with ED go nuts! and so, i did. I haven't done it in 2 days now, but i know im going to do it again, no matter how much i tell myself not too....i have only exprerenced blood in my vomit 2wice. and the next day i had a sore throat, but it would always pass. i dont wanna tell my mom cuz shes freaked out enuf as it is.
