Hi,

I am in agony here and am not sure what to do.

I was washing my car, and I caught my nail on something and it ripped them backwards.......It ripped my false nail and real nail (still attached to my false nail) right back towards my hand.

It is still on there, but is bleeding, and throbbing, the pain is near unbearable.

I am wondering if I should go to the doctors, or glue it down, so as to releave the pain.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I cant even attempt to take the false nail off of my nail, even to touch lightly sends pain thru it :(

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT glue the nail back down as you can also seal in bacterial or fungal spores. Attempt to cut as much of the nail extension off as possible, then wrap it in antibacterial ointment and a bandage. I know it will hurt to cut off the free edge, but you HAVE to do it! Soak the nail in water and sea salt several times a day, then apply the ointment and bandage.
