Hello everyone! I need some help here, it seems that a lot of you have been dealing with long fought battles of dizzyness and vertigo, so I may seem like a chump only having this for four days, but I would like some imput.
About two weeks prior to this I started feeling kinda out of it, daily headaches, cracking and popping my ears, and sinus pressure. I have severe allergies and in the past have had sinus infection after sinus infection. In March 2004 found out my bio and ethnoid glands were inflammed and infected with a CT scan. Took my medicine and felt better. Well we had a company party on Saturday night where at this time i drank four or five beers. I woke up Sunday so freaking weirded out it wasn't funny. I felt like I would roll over in bed and about 10 seconds later my head would catch up with me. I would get waves of dizzyness.
I went to the ER and they ran blood work and a CT of my Head, said everything was ok and I had acute sinuitis that has run into my ears and has whacked my body off balance. I was pissed about the way the ER doc handled the situation, sending his nurse in with the results without being able to tell me what was going on. I delt with this off and on outta it feelings, with dizzyness, heavy eyes, and generally overall just feel like crap kinda stuff for two days. I called my doctor on Wednesday and told him what was up. He explained from the ER results exactly what the ER doctor told me. He said once the fluid drained from my sinuses into my ears it could take 6 weeks to get my balance back because its hard to clear up those infections.
I am taking augementin XR, zyrtec, and anevert as needed. I still pop my ears alot, and find myself still overall not feeling well. I feel kinda like i'm in a different world, unbalanced, weak in the legs, head heave, eyes heavy, pressure on my biomaxillary glands, and overall tired. I'm pissed off and this makes it harder to deal with becase the holiday season, i dont want to be miserable for.
Is this something that you all deal with? I know its only been four days, but my god it sucks. I feel so much for you people who deal with this long term. Can anyone give me any insite to this whole situation and let me know what I am dealing with?
Thanks,
Worrygirl
