I started on progesterone cream a couple months ago. I have gained a lot of weight over the last 4 years. I was thinking it might be connected to being estrogen dominant which is what saliva testing showed. I haven't noticed any difference in my appetite or eating pattern. Does progesterone help at all with weight gain from being estrogen dominant? did anyone loose weight after starting progesterone cream that didn't go on a diet?

I only tried the cream for a few months and realized it was falsely raising my glucose levels. I quit using it immediately. I never noticed weight gain with it but then, as I said, I only used it for less than 6 months or so...

Kittenlover, I noticed that the higher dose of progestin in my bcp was also falsely raisng my glucose levels. Hmmm... I've since switched to a lower dose bcp and still hoping to lower the progestin dosage. I feel so much better when I'm taking estrogen only, but since I still have my uterus I know it's important to also have the progesterone.
BTW, when I tried Prometrium and the progesterone cream my weight did not increase. They only seem to make my perimenopause symptoms worst.
