Anyone using the Nuvaring for perimenopause?

I am 48 soon to be 49 years old in October. My doctor just suggested me to start using the Nuvaring for perimenopause. This is my first one. Have you used it and how did you like it?

I've never used the Nuvaring and my ob/gyn suggested bcp instead. As you can see when I intially started this post no one responded...so hopefully someone with some experience will respond.
